Tri‑County Technical College invites applicants to apply for the role of Manager of the Accessibility Resource Center for our Pendleton Campus. The position reports to the Director of Student Support and is responsible for managing the planning and implementation of programs and services that support students with learning differences and disabilities across a multi‑campus environment. The Manager works collaboratively with the Student Development team to create and deliver programs and services for whole‑student growth and development and can work independently with minimal supervision.
The Manager must demonstrate good judgment, consistent critical thinking, and strong communication skills. Maintaining confidentiality, exercising initiative, managing multiple priorities, handling tight deadlines, and traveling to satellite campuses as needed are all essential parts of this role. Effective use of computer equipment and various software is required for accessing the student information system, performing word processing, and developing presentation materials.
Job Functions- Supervision and Leadership
:
Provide oversight and management for the accessibility resource center; supervise full‑time and part‑time staff; manage operational budgets, including grant funds; provide regular case‑file review for employees. - Accommodations and Student Support
:
Manage the accommodation process for students, including intake, review of supporting information, assignment and approval of reasonable academic accommodations, and coordinate auxiliary services for reasonable accommodations. - Cross‑College Collaboration
:
Provide guidance to faculty in integrating academic accommodations for individual students and educate employees about accessibility. - Compliance
:
Ensure the college delivers reasonable academic and physical accommodations in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and other legislative mandates; serve as a consultation source for college employees on accessibility‑related needs and operations. - Departmental Support
:
Provide support to Student Development department operations and initiatives; perform other duties as assigned. - Professional Development
:
Participate in professional development activities offered through the college, State Tech System, and other regional organizations as appropriate.
A Bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, or a related field with a minimum of two years of experience working with students with disabilities. The candidate must possess strong organizational, oral and written communication skills, and be able to relate well to persons from diverse backgrounds in a variety of settings. A Master’s degree in education, counseling, or a related field with a minimum of two years of experience working with students with disabilities at a post‑secondary level is preferred.
