Position Summary
The Allied Health Professions Instructor reports directly to the Career Academy Director. This is a ten‑month academic position with full benefits and follows the SAU Tech Career Academy academic calendar. The instructor is responsible for providing high‑quality classroom and laboratory instruction to 11th and 12th grade high school students enrolled in the Career Academy’s Allied Health Professions program. Instruction is based on curriculum approved by the Arkansas Office of Long‑Term Care and SAU Tech.
It is designed to prepare students for postsecondary education, industry certification, and careers in the healthcare field. This is a non‑remote position that requires presence on the SAU Tech campus.
The instructor will create a positive and engaging learning environment, deliver classroom and hands‑on laboratory instruction, assess student progress, maintain required educational records, and ensure compliance with all Career Academy, SAU Tech, Arkansas Division of Higher Education, and Arkansas Office of Long‑Term Care requirements. The instructor will also promote professionalism, employability skills, and safe clinical practices while preparing students for successful entry into healthcare careers and industry certification.

- Minimum one (1) year of work experience in a long‑term care facility
- Associate’s degree or willingness to attain
- Ability to communicate effectively and utilize technology in teaching
- Background check is required.
- Relocation may be required if not residing within a reasonable commuting distance from Camden, AR.
