Salary Grade: Criteria in the collective bargaining agreement determine the position rank of teaching faculty. The salary range based on the established rank is between $46,781 - $52,940 for 10-month teaching positions. Ranking is determined by educational level and specific relevant experience.
Remote Work Option: Fully In-Person (May be subject to change)
Work Hours: Standard College hours are Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm; additional hours, including evening and weekend hours, may be needed to meet the needs of the department.
ResponsibilitiesGeneral
Summary:
The primary responsibilities of the faculty are to teach and to develop the curriculum.
Requires one of the following:
- Master’s or doctorate in biology, 30 graduate biology credits, professional medical doctorate (e.g., MD, DDS, DO, DVM), or a master’s degree in a recognized biological or medical sub-field.
- Adjunct faculty must also meet these requirements.
Minimum 3 years research experience in a laboratory and Bachelor’s degree in Biology (or biology-related field) required. Ideal candidate is familiar with current equipment and able to troubleshoot protocols used to manipulate proteins and DNA/RNA. Experience with students (college level or K12) is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKnowledge of:

Hours:
Maintain weekly office hours as required by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).

Clearances: Current criminal record/child abuse clearances will be required if offered the position and to be employed at the College. The three clearances are Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Records Check, and Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) Criminal Background Check. The College has provided instructions on how to obtain these clearances.
