ACCEPT Education Collaborative is a regional non-profit educational organization with locations in Medway and Natick, MA. ACCEPT provides programs and services including special education for students with moderate to severe needs, transportation, home-based services, behavioral and educational consultation, and professional development. Programs cover PreK-12 and up to age 22 for life skills and therapeutic programs, addressing autism spectrum disorders, emotional/behavioral needs, global impairments, cognitive/intellectual disabilities, language disorders, ADHD/ADD, and nonverbal learning disability.
ACCEPT seeks dynamic and compassionate teaching assistants to work in our Middle and High School Programs in Medway. We offer competitive compensation, benefits, a collaborative environment and professional training and support.
Pay starting at $22.09 per hour

- 1–3 years of experience working with children and/or young adults
- Associate Degree or equivalent experience
- Safety Care certified or willing to obtain certification
- Team player and dependable
- Ability to follow directions and work without supervision when necessary
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and maintain confidentiality
- Ability to multitask and maintain confidentiality
- Experience, ability and desire to work with students with special needs
- Compassion and patience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field
- Experience in special education
- Work under the direction of the Special Education teacher and Behavior Specialist
- Assist with classroom instruction and support students
- Maintain a safe, clean and supportive classroom environment
- Collaborate with lead teacher to design and implement systems to track student progress
- Provide assistance during non-classroom time and arrange recreational activities
- Attend required meetings and trainings
- Arrive prepared before students and stay until all students are dismissed
- Check in with teacher and behavior specialist daily
- Ensure student clipboards/data sheets are prepared
- Maintain organized and professional classroom space
- Collect daily behavior and academic data
- Implement individual student behavior support plans and reinforcement schedules
- Support teacher during whole group and small group lessons
- Implement individual student academic programming as applicable
- Follow the schedule created by the classroom teacher
- Communicate issues to the teacher and behavior specialist promptly
- Complete incident and restraint reports as required
- Read and respond to emails within 24 hours
- Ensure classroom is cleaned and ready for the next day
- Occasional travel between ACCEPT programs to fulfill TA responsibilities
- Physical demands: ability to move, lift up to 20 lbs, endure long periods of standing or sitting, and assist with safety and behavioral management
- Work environment: typical school setting, not remote
