Position Type and Expected Hours
Days and hours are usually Monday through Friday; weekend and evening hours may be required. Live classes are scheduled twice per week, on Monday and Tuesday from 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm (Pacific Time).

Responsibilities- Teaching:
Available to teach synchronous online courses via Microsoft Teams on Monday and Tuesday every week; plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning and engagement; modify instructional methods to meet diverse student needs; employ effective teaching strategies; maintain current certifications in taught subjects. - Mastery of Subject Matter:
Demonstrate thorough knowledge; connect subject matter to related fields; stay current through professional development and professional involvement. - Adhering to College Policies and Procedures:
Maintain accurate student databases for attendance and grades; ensure accreditation compliance and class-hour requirements; submit required documentation; procure textbooks and supplies with advance notice; collaborate with staff on new projects; adhere to business casual attire per policy.
- Official transcripts of bachelor’s degree or higher and certification in the taught subject (from an accredited institution).
- CompTIA Linux+ certification or equivalent.
- At least three years’ experience in the field OR two years of teaching experience.
- Synchronous online teaching experience preferred.
- Advanced subject matter expertise with ongoing professional development; strong presentation, communication, and technology skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office and learning technologies (e.g., Canvas) and Microsoft Teams.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and multitask effectively; strong collaboration with colleagues and administration to support student success.
- Commitment to inclusive, respectful learning environments; knowledge of current trends in higher education; ability to deliver engaging lesson plans that meet diverse needs; strong written and verbal communication; high ethical standards; compliance with college policies.
Positions may be sedentary. Reasonable accommodations available. Requires sitting for extended periods, occasional travel, and ability to lift up to 10-15 pounds. Desktop computer use and typing are required.
