About Us
Are you a dedicated actor, educator, or storyteller with a passion for empowering young minds? Do you have a knack for creative storytelling and a desire to make a positive impact on early childhood education? We teach children as young as 3 years old how to play chess entirely through fun and silly stories. You do not need any prior chess experience to be a great tutor.
We have over 100 teachers and tutors conducting lessons for more than 15,000 children each week in New York and Los Angeles. We are expanding to new cities this year and want to bring our unique approach to homes and schools across the Bay Area, focusing on San Francisco and the Peninsula.
OpportunityStory Time Chess is looking to hire more storytellers, teachers, and tutors who will teach both in homes and schools. Familiarity with chess is valuable but mastery is not required. If you can tell a story, you can teach chess. You will use our extensive, fun curriculum that includes stories, games, puzzles, and outlined lessons designed for success. We provide a variety of material so you can tailor lessons to each child and each day.
