Junior High Assistant Principal
To assist the principal in the administration of the total program in the areas of school operations, evaluation, student attendance, assessment planning, discipline, safety, and student supervision.

Building Principal
This full-time TRS position consists of 260 working days per year, with an annual salary range of $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 as set by the Board of Education. The superintendent will determine the work calendar.
The compensation package for the Principal includes comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance and a $300,000 term life insurance policy. The position offers paid vacation, sick, and personal leave days annually, with additional remote work days and tuition reimbursement options. The Board provides a monthly allowance for cellular phone and travel expenses, a yearly wellness allowance, and membership dues for up to two professional organizations.
Exempt
Assists the Junior High principal in the overall administration of the school.
Supervises and is accountable for the maintenance and accuracy of each student's attendance records and enforces district attendance policies in collaboration with school staff.
Handles referrals as assigned and works with students, parents/guardians, and teachers. Assigns discipline for students.
Processes, enforces and assists the administration in developing the school's discipline policy. Assists in providing interventions.
Plans and implements preventive disciplinary measures, such as changes in schedule, counseling, in-school suspensions, home visits, referrals for evaluation, etc.
Maintains disciplinary files in the student records system. Compiles information from student referral incidents categorizes, and analyzes this information to develop broader building-level preventive disciplinary procedures and practices.
Assists the principal in fostering sound interpersonal relationships among students, teachers, parents, and administrators.
Shares responsibility to the principal for organizing and supervising all school-sponsored events and programs.
Assists with planning and supervising fire drills, tornado drills, and emergency preparedness programs.
Inspects school facilities, including hallways, restrooms, classrooms, and special areas.
Assumes responsibility for the supervision and safety of students in the buildings and on the grounds during lunch, as well as before and after school.
Participates in the hiring process of faculty and staff.
Communicates regularly with stakeholders.
Maintains appropriate and timely contact with law enforcement agencies.
Acts as liaison with building, public, and mental health communities to support individual student development goals.
Participates regularly as a contributing member of leadership teams throughout the district.
Conducts observations and completes the required evaluation of employees.
Ensures confidentiality of personnel records and information.
Oversees Junior High athletic programs and extracurricular clubs, including:
- Scheduling events, practices, and meetings.
- Organizing and coordinating the use of facilities.
- Arranging transportation for athletic teams and club activities.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
- Supervising and evaluating coaches and club sponsors.
- Managing budgets and overseeing fundraising efforts.
- Promoting student participation and engagement in athletics and clubs.
