The Division of Online and Distance Education at Husson University invites applications for a part-time adjunct faculty pool. This posting will remain open for a 90-day period to establish a pool of qualified candidates who may be considered for future online teaching or course development opportunities.

Applications are reviewed as instructional and course development needs arise during the posting period. After the posting closes, applications may continue to be reviewed from the established pool based on departmental needs. Teaching and course development assignments are dependent upon factors such as student enrollment, program needs, course scheduling, and institutional priorities.

Example of Duties

Husson University is seeking dynamic individuals to teach online courses in photography. Course instructors are content experts who focus on providing an elite educational experience for learners to improve their skill level and knowledge. Candidates with demonstrated expertise and professional experience in photography are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

Education:

An earned terminal degree in the discipline or a related field; doctoral degree preferred.

Experience:

Successful online teaching experience at the college level preferred. Demonstrated dedication to improving classroom teaching, exploring new methods, and adapting to student needs. Demonstrated ability to work well as a part of a team.

The essential functions of this position may require the ability to:

* Move about instructional, laboratory, clinical, office, or campus environments.

* Occasionally move, transport, or position instructional materials and equipment.

Visual Requirements

Must be able to read, prepare, evaluate, and review a variety of materials in both electronic and printed formats, and observe student activities as necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.

Working Conditions

Work is performed primarily in instructional, laboratory, clinical, office, or remote learning environments, depending on course assignment and modality. The position may require evening, weekend, or off-site instructional activities.

COMPENSATION

Compensation is based on academic credentials, course assignment and course enrollment.

Undergraduate Courses

* Master's Prepared:
Up to $933.33 per credit hour
* * Doctoral or Equivalent Prepared:
Up to $1,016.67 per credit hour
* Graduate Courses

* Master's Prepared:
Up to $1,016.67 per credit hour
* * Doctoral or Equivalent Prepared:
Up to $1,100.00 per credit hour
* * Compensation is dependent upon the number of students enrolled in the assigned course.
