The College is seeking part-time non-credit lecturerswhoare passionate about inspiring and educating the next generation of Language learners and professionals. Under the supervision of the Director or designee, the non-credit lecturer is accountable for the effective performance in these essential duties:
Key responsibilities include:
- Teaching courses within the assigned discipline area in accordance with institutional standards
- Evaluating and assessing student learning outcomes
- Providing student support, mentoring, and academic advising
- Developing curriculum and periodically reviewing and updating instructional materials
Successful Candidate must have or must possess:
- Bachelor’s degreein TESOL, English/Composition, Linguistics, Foreign Language, or Education.
- Two (2) years of teaching college level ESL courses.
- Prior experience in Course work for adult education certification in ESLorCertificate in TESOL
- Ability to present curriculum in a classroom or lab environment.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, including individuals with disabilities
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
- Additional qualifications may be requested, as relevant to the academic department.
- MastersinTESOL, Applied Linguistics, English, Foreign Language, and two years of teaching ESL at the college/adult level. OR
- Mastersin Education with a focus on TESOL, secondary education, or adult education and two years of teaching ESL at the college/adult level
- Experience teaching in workforce development, adult education, continuing education, or non-credit training programs, particularly in short-term certificate or credential-aligned programs.
- Experience designing or delivering customized training programs (onsite, online, or hybrid).
- Knowledge of the current industry trends and workforce needs
- Commensurate with specific course, location & demand.
