5-year goalsIn 2024 HSYC was awarded a five-year grant to continue offering program services. These are our five-year goals:
Goal #1HSYC implements Conscious Discipline to support the social emotional needs/ self-regulation of the HSYC community.
Goal #2All children, regardless of family situation, will have strong attendance that will carryover after HSYC participation.
Goal #3HSYC will be known for providing high quality, comprehensive services for school and life readiness through a unique two-generation approach.
Goal #4Hire and retain individuals who are committed to the true HSYC mission and philosophy and who understand the need to be trauma-informed and relationship-based in an early childhood program.
GENERAL DESCRIPTIONThis position will plan and implement a weekly home-based program for up to 10 children ages3-5 and their families. This position will coordinate the integrated delivery of child development,health, nutrition and parent involvement using the Head Start curriculum. Supplemental social-emotional curriculums will be prioritized and used in conjunction with the Head Start Curriculum inorder to increase self-regulation skills needed to be successful in a preschool classroom setting.
The Home Base Teacher will provide support for mental health and disabilities services and provide bi-monthly group socialization experiences for children and families in accordance with program,state, and federal guidelines.
