Online Student Liaison

The Online Student Liaison's primary responsibility is to provide ongoing support to the university's current and prospective online students. This position is responsible for working both independently and in collaboration with other campus units to support student success. This includes working with relevant staff, faculty, and administrators to advocate for students. The Online Student Liaison Office (OSLO) is open for extended hours, 7am-7pm Monday-Friday and 11am-3pm on Saturday.

Individual shifts are scheduled to accommodate these hours. We're currently seeking part-time coverage for evenings. This is not a seasonal position and does not end with the semester. Regular in-person work is expected. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least one year of experience providing direct support to students in a higher education setting or customer service in a related field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience providing student or customer support via phone, email, or online chat
  • Experience operating in the university student information systems and/or Slate
  • Experience working in higher education student support initiatives
  • Experience working at the University of Arkansas
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience working independently to achieve objectives and meet goals

Additional Information:

  • Graduate students are subject to background checks
  • Shift is from Mon - Friday 3:30 pm to 7pm, minimum of 15 hours a week and maximum of 20 hours a week.

Salary Information: $15.00
