Job Summary

Conduct workshops for CECS students on a variety of topics designed to support student success, engagement, and academic development. Host scheduled in-person and virtual office hours to provide peer advising support and respond to student questions. Monitor and respond to student inquiries through the peer advising email account in a timely and professional manner. Collaborate with other ELC peer advisors to support programming, outreach, and student engagement efforts.

Provide accurate information about ELC services, CECS resources, and relevant campus support services. Refer students to appropriate professional staff or campus resources as needed.

Required Qualifications *

Must be a current undergraduate student at the University of Michigan-Dearborn College of Engineering.

Desired Qualifications*

Past experience in tutoring or working with students.

Modes of Work

Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. Work agreements are reviewed annually at a minimum and are subject to change at any time, and for any reason, throughout the course of employment. Learn more about the work modes.

Work Schedule

20 hours a week and flexibility with class schedule.

Work Locations

In person ELB 1084. Will be working with students through virtual hours and in person.
