Introductory Course Coordinator
The Introductory Course Coordinator acts as the primary contact and coordinator for all aspects of introductory-level coursework in the Chemistry Department and works in collaboration with the Undergraduate Program faculty and staff. This includes overall support for Student Services and Departmental needs concerning registration and course management for introductory-level Chemistry courses.
Responsibilities*15 % GSI Coordination:
- Process GSI assignments, section assignments and proctoring assignments
- Manage GSI substitute and feedback processes
30% Exam Coordination:
- Collect and verify Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) accommodations and exam conflict information; coordinate with TAC
- Manage the Chemistry in-house alternate testing process
- Manage the GSI/ room assignment process for exams
- Coordinate grading and proctoring process for introductory courses
20% Introductory Course Enrollment Support:
- Maintain all aspects of introductory course waitlist process
- Monitor waitlists, opening sections as needed and issue overrides
- Assist in curriculum and enrollment access for intro courses.
35% Introductory Course Support
- Create, maintain and monitor shared inboxes for introductory courses.
- Triage email and respond as appropriate in collaboration with course instructors
- Enforce enrollment and exam policies
- Bachelor's Degree or a combination of education and experience.
- 3-5 years experience working with students in an academic setting.
- At least 2 years of professional non-student experience in an administrative setting.
- Must have high-level proficiency, speed and accuracy with Excel, Word and Google suite.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, efficiently, and productively with a diverse group of students, staff and faculty.
- Superior interpersonal skills
- Must be able to set priorities, exercise initiative, work on multiple projects, and meet/negotiate deadlines.
This position will be eligible for 1-2 days of remote work per week after a 6 month onboarding plan. This position will require flexibility to accommodate peak periods of exam management and registration which may result in shifts in start and end times during the week as well as a handful of weeks with reduced availability for remote work.

The salary range for this position is $47,600 to $59,500; please note a higher salary may be offered based on equity and the selected candidate's experience. Salary is determined by direct relevant experience and demonstrated past performance results, while ensuring equity on our team
