Pay Range $1,483.20 - $1,596.50 per credit hour
Salary offers at Syracuse University will be based on education, experience, and relevant skills, as well as the academic or professional discipline of the position in the context of the home department, school, or college. Salary offers may also be influenced by prior relevant work or industry experience, where applicable. Faculty pay ranges are for 8.5 months’ salary unless otherwise specified.

Unionized Position Code UAJob DescriptionThe S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University is seeking an individual to teach MND 526 Beauty & Fashion Journalism: E-Commerce which meets Wednesdays 5:15-8:00pm during the Fall 2026 semester (3 credits).

Description:
In this class students will learn about the history and current practice of fashion & beauty content creation in the e-commerce space. They will create content of various kinds during the semester for a variety of brands.
This class will meet mainly online over Zoom but will have at least two in-person class meetings.
- Applicants should have several years’ experience working in e-commerce as well as a thorough understanding of its history and current applications.
- Teaching experience at the university level is a plus.
It is understood that teaching assignments may include the following:
- Developing a syllabus.
- Ordering books and materials for students in the class to purchase on or before the first day of classes in advance.
- Preparing for classes.
- Holding office hours each week to meet with students in the class and others.
- Grading in a timely manner student assignments and examinations for the course; and turning in mid-semester progress reports and final grades according to University regulations.
- Ability to instruct the class on the days and times it is designated to meet.
- Ability to hold office hours on campus.
- Ability to grade all assignments and examinations.
- Ability to operate standard classroom instructional technology, which may include computer, projector, document camera, etc.
