Job Title
Associate Director, Commercial Training, Rare Disease
LocationCambridge, MA
Responsibilities- Support the learning needs of the commercial sales force within the rare disease business unit, including disease, product, and customer interaction capabilities.
- Develop launch training materials and maintain/ create training resources for legacy rare disease brands and upcoming product launches.
- Support the implementation of new products and skill‑based training through eLearning, live meetings, virtual training, and on‑demand courses.
- Design and execute new‑hire training programs and curriculum.
- Develop and execute launch training learner journey.
- Lead continuing education and advanced training programs for ongoing product and disease knowledge.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, PSS, and medical teams to align objectives and deliver consistent learning direction.
- Manage field advisory teams and learning champions.
- Define core competencies and create tools and curriculum for all training programs.
- Assist with marketing material integration into new‑hire and ongoing learning initiatives.
- Coordinate area/zone and regional sales meetings with marketing and advisory teams.
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) required.
- At least 5 years of relevant pharmaceutical or commercial learning and development experience.
- Proven communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong project management skills and capacity to handle multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of legal, regulatory, and compliance training guidelines.
- Excellent collaboration, organizational, and operational skills.
- 10% national travel required.
- Rare disease training experience.
- 8+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry with at least 2 years leading national home‑office training.
- Experience with AI technologies.
- Experience developing and deploying account excellence training programs.
- Familiarity with instructional design principles.
- Regular use of learning technologies to accelerate development.
- Background in measuring learning effectiveness.
