Pay Range $62,400 - $63,650

Pay rates at Syracuse University are based on a combination of factors including, but not limited to, the job responsibilities; the candidate’s education, training, work experience and key competencies; the university’s strategic priorities; internal peer equity; applicable federal, state, local laws, grant funding and contractual requisites; and external market analyses.

8:30am – 5:00pm (academic year)
8:00am – 4:30pm (summer)

Hours may vary based on operational needs.
Evening and weekend hours will be required.

The assistant coach’s primary responsibilities include daily coaching duties as assigned by the Head Coach of Men’s Rowing and coordinating all aspects of administering a Division 1 rowing program. These duties include, but are not limited to: coordination of team travel, maintenance/repair of rowing and training equipment, assisting Recruiting Coordinator, NCAA paperwork.

Bachelor’s degree and 3 years coaching or equivalent experience.

Must have a valid Driver’s License

• Direct the maintenance of all campus and boathouse facilities and equipment under the direction of the Head Coach.
• Daily coaching responsibilities as assigned by the Head Coach.
• Assist the Head Coach with all aspects of administering a Division 1 Rowing program.
• Assist the Recruiting Coordinator with the communications with and assessment of prospective student athletes.
• Other duties as assigned.
