Focus areas include English language-based engagement and scholarships, with an emphasis on business, agriculture, and technology.

Are you a dynamic, high-energy individual with a passion for global impact? We are seeking a tech-savvy volunteer with a vibrant, youthful spirit—whether in age or mindset—who can naturally connect, motivate, and resonate with young learners in Haiti.
As the Program Facilitator for THE SPARK of Le Flambeau, you will launch, manage, and evaluate our premier 5-week online language exchange sessions. The current sessions are run exclusively with youth and students in Haiti who speak Haitian Kreyol and French, and are building their English fluency. This is a unique opportunity to gain international non-profit experience while directly shaping future leaders.
Key Responsibilities- Session Launch & Setup: Prepare the digital environment for upcoming sessions.
- Curriculum & Engagement: Propose exciting weekly topics and an English "Word of the Week." Provide weekly grammar tips and encouraging feedback to keep energy high.
- Evaluation & Recognition: Track student participation, score language submissions, and select weekly and overall top performers.
- Global Connections: Have the unique opportunity to connect with youth in Haiti.

Skills:
Exceptional English writing, grammar, and communication skills. - Education: Currently in college, or a recent or seasoned college graduate.

- Strong English language teaching and facilitation skills, including experience with lesson planning and classroom or small-group instruction.
- Ability to design and adapt English learning materials for youth and beginner-to-intermediate learners, with a focus on practical communication skills.
- Experience working with youth or in community-based education programs, ideally in multicultural or international contexts.
- Excellent communication, patience, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to create an inclusive and encouraging learning environment.
- Organizational and time-management abilities to coordinate full-time on-site activities, track progress, and report outcomes clearly.
- Cultural sensitivity and interest in Haiti’s social and economic context;
Haitian Creole or French language skills are a plus. - Bachelor’s degree in Education, TESOL, Linguistics, English, or a related field preferred; relevant teaching certifications or training are beneficial.
