The Appalachian Public Health Innovation (APP-PHI) Corps programprovides opportunities for people to make an intensive commitment to service. There are many opportunities for Ameri Corps service in North Carolina, and across the country throughout the year. Theseare great experiences for new and upcoming graduates to consider.

As an APP-PHI Corps member, you can gain new skills and experiences and you'll also find tremendous satisfaction that comes fromhelping others. In addition, members who complete their serviceearn a Segal Ameri Corps Education Award as outlined here, to pay for college, graduate school, or to payback qualified student loans; members who serve part-time receive a partial Award. Some Ameri Corps members may also receive a living allowance during their term of service.

Help meet publichealth needs of the North Carolina rural Appalachian communities by providing needed capacity and support to local public healthpreparedness settings in collaboration with state and regional partners, to advance health outcomes for communities who are currently and historically underserved.
