Job Description: Barrett, The Honors College is seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Student Admissions Support Specialist to join our admissions team. The Student Admissions Support Specialist will play a vital role throughout all aspects of the Barrett application process. This position is perfect for individuals passionate about higher education and dedicated to helping students achieve their academic goals.

• Engage with prospective students and their families via email, phone, and in-person to provide information about the honors college and the admissions process.
• Maintain accurate records of student applications and communication using the college and university's databases and software.
• Create regular reports of application activity to share with internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with other departments, primarily recruiting and advising, to ensure a smooth admissions process for prospective students.
• Serve on the admissions committee, evaluating submitted applications for each honors college enrollment option.
• Contribute to application enhancements and process improvements through testing the online application system.
• Participate in special projects with staff as directed.

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of Barrett, The Honors College
• Experience working in an institution of higher education (honors college/program experience preferred)
• Experience in customer service
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with admissions databases (People Soft, Salesforce)

• Activities are primarily performed in a regular, climate-controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking
• Visual acuity and manual dexterity associated with daily use of a desktop computer
• Repetitive use of a keyboard and mouse at a workstation

Salary
: $44,000 per year
