Part-Time Faculty Aircraft Maintenance Technician School
The University of Maine at Augusta invites applications for Part-Time Faculty at our Aircraft Maintenance Technician School (AMTS). The successful candidate will have experience with the subject matter in a wide range of aviation topics, including fixed-wing and rotorcraft.
The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to teaching and working with students one-on-one. The position will ideally be based at UMA's Brunswick Aviation Campus, Hangar 6, but we will also consider remote work candidates.
Qualifications
Required:
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certification
- Aircraft Maintenance Experience
- Teaching Experience
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree
- FAA Aircraft Inspection Authorization Certificate
- Higher Education experience with curriculum writing and teaching
Salary:
The salary range is per credit hour and commensurate with qualifications and experience:

Lecturer I* $1211 $ 1233 $ 1250 $ 1283
Lecturer II** $1443 $ 1465 $ 1486 $ 1521
Lecturer III*** $1580 $ 1601 $ 1623 $ 1657
* 0-10 semesters of previous college teaching
** 11-19 semesters of previous college teaching
*** 20 + semesters of previous college teaching
