Job Summary:

* The Lead State Performance Plan (SPP) and the Annual Performance Report (APR) Coordinator position will oversee the indicator collections for the SPP and APR.

* Occasional in-state and out-of-state travel is required for this position.

The Arizona Department of Education currently utilizes a hybrid work environment, with up to two days of remote work (contingent upon business needs). Candidates should apply with an ability and willingness to work in-office up to five days per week as business needs necessitate.

Job Duties:

* Develop, research, write, organize, and coordinate the SPP/APR for annual submission to the U.S. Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP)

* Will assist in other data collections in appropriately processing data for federal submission into the SPP/APR

* Timelines for this collection can vary wildly throughout the year and flexibility is crucial for availability as needed

* Provide technical assistance, professional development training, and develop training documentation on the SPP/APR

* Collaborate and gain feedback from internal and external stakeholders

* Supports the processing of PEA determination measures by contributing to analysis, coordination, documentation and presentation of data as needed for stakeholders and leadership

* Provides key support in the development and implementation of measures used to calculate and publish significant disproportionality, and assists in communicating and representing this work

* Coordinate IDEA Section 618 data collections, including Dispute Resolution reporting, and assist with the annual Maintenance of Effort (MOE) submission

* Review, validate, and analyze data to ensure compliance with federal reporting requirements and timelines

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

Knowledge in:

* Federal and State laws and implementing regulations in the area of special education

* Principles and practices of data analysis and processing

* Principles and practices of assessment

* Federal reporting requirements under Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA)

* State reporting requirements through Arizona Education Data Standards (AzEDS)

* Applicants must have experience in the field of special education.

* A bachelor's degree in a related field to work assignment.

Retirement:
