Part Time Floating Early Childhood Assistant Teacher

Aspen View Pre-K Floating Teacher Assistant will:
Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to, the following:
- Treat children, families and staff with dignity and respect at all times.
- Assist in supervision and ensure the safety and well-being of preschool children in various settings.
- Assist supervision preschool children during lunch and rest time in all PreK classrooms.
- Assist in preparing the learning environment, setting up interest centers, and preparing needed materials and supplies
- Assist/supervise the classroom and playground.
- Help with the general housekeeping tasks
- Assist the teacher in other ways as requested (job related)
- Always maintain a professional attitude and loyalty to AVA
- Assist teacher with implementation of appropriate early childhood education experiences
- Help teachers supervise and promote activities designed to enhance the healthy emotional, social, intellectual, and physical development of children
- Help to maintain a neat and organized classroom.
- Help children establish good habits of personal hygiene. Assist children in changing clothes when needed. Encourage children to be independent in this skill.
- Always supervise activities to ensure safety of students.
- Complete 15 continuing Ed hours of Early Childhood Education throughout the school year.

Responsibilities:
- Perform toileting duties and life skill instruction.
- Provide clerical support in a variety of functions.
- Prepare, adapt, arrange, and maintain preschool materials.
- Maintain data collection regarding student progress/performance, including confidential reports and information.
- Interact appropriately with parents and other staff.
- Provide daily assistance to the teacher in the classroom by working with typical and special needs children in small and whole group settings.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
