Student Experience Specialist

The Student Experience Specialist supports student connection and belonging by designing and facilitating both in-person and virtual student experiences. This role works closely with prospective and newly enrolled students and families to support enrollment, onboarding, and orientation, while also coordinating student experience activities and school events that strengthen relationships between students, families, and the school. The position serves as a key bridge between students, families, and the school community to promote participation, connectedness, and a positive student experience.
This is a full-time position requiring the ability to work independently for approximately 40 hours per week. A professional, distraction-free home office during the workday is required. Core hours are between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, while allowing for some flexibility as determined by school needs. Residency Requirement:
Resident of Southeastern Pennsylvania (Greater Philadelphia area). This is a home-based and event-based position. This is estimated to be approximately 40-50% of the time. Travel will be required for community events, professional development, and state testing.
Essential Functions:

- Plan, coordinate, and facilitate in-person and virtual student engagement events to promote connection and school involvement for currently enrolled, newly enrolled, and prospective families
- Support new student onboarding and orientation, including communication, scheduling, and facilitation of sessions
- Serve as a point of contact for student engagement opportunities, helping students and families navigate available events and activities
- Develop and implement virtual engagement experiences, including virtual field trips and interactive activities
- Serve as a liaison between the school, families, internal teams, and community organizations to support student and family connection to available resources, supports, and opportunities.
- Collaborate with the social media administrator to support communication efforts related to student activities, events, updates, and community resources, including capturing photos and sharing content for school communication platforms
- Build communication calendars to welcome new families and maintain contact with current students over the summer and prior to cohort start in-year
- Serves as a key role in new student welcome such as hosting sessions about the support, community, events, and resources that are available to families.
- Coordinate logistics and support execution of student milestone events such as prom, graduation, and other school-wide experiences
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., LEAP, counseling, principals) to identify and engage students who may benefit from increased connection opportunities
- Track participation and engagement data to monitor effectiveness and inform improvements to programming
- Support annual enrollment confirmation efforts related to weekly goals and progress
- Ensure all events and activities are aligned with school expectations, safety guidelines, and operational procedures
- Support communication efforts by promoting engagement opportunities through approved communication channels
- Maintain organized records, schedules, and materials related to student engagement programming
- Maintain strict confidentiality of student information in accordance with applicable laws and school policies (including FERPA), ensuring that all student data and interactions are handled with discretion and professionalism
- Performs additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no regular supervisory responsibilities.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Associate's degree in education, social science or a related field AND 35 years experience in youth-facing event planning or community coordination OR Equivalent combination of education and experience All PDE required clearances for school-based personnel
