Position SummaryGlobal Grants & Academic Programs ( GAP ) supports international education initiatives that connect Omaha to the world through academic programs, grant-funded exchanges, and customized training opportunities. The unit manages the Intensive English Program ( IEP ), Custom Programs, Summer Institutes, and externally funded Grants, including programs sponsored by the U.S. Department of State. These programs foster cross-cultural exchange,professional development, and academic success for participants from around the globe.
The Program Coordinator plays a central rolein supporting the planning, coordination, and implementation ofthese programs. This position is responsible for managing communications, logistics, participant support, and administrative processes across multiple program areas. The coordinator serves asa key point of contact for students, participants, partners, andcampus stakeholders, ensuring programs are delivered efficiently and with a high level of professionalism. A strong coordinator isan organized project manager, proactive communicator, and adaptable problem solver who can manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
This role requires attention to detail, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. The coordinator contributes to program success through effective communication strategies, logistical coordination, and ongoing support for participants and partners.
The position supports program lifecycle activities including recruitment, admissions, pre-arrival communication, program delivery, and post-program evaluation. The coordinator also assists with financial tracking, reporting, and maintaining accurate program records. This role has a direct impact on participant experience, program quality, and the reputation of International Programs. This position will participate in International Programs initiatives and represent the GAP unit in interactions with campusand external partners.
Provide program coordination and participant support across
Intensive English Program ( IEP ), Custom Programs, andgrant-funded initiatives:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for prospective and current participants
- Manage communication via email, CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce),and other platforms
- Support admissions tracking, enrollment updates, and participant data management
- Assist with planning and implementation of orientations, student activities, and events
Provide ongoing support to participants throughout programduration
