Reporting to the Associate Registrar Curricular Operations, the Assistant Registrar oversees the curriculum management system, including course and curriculum approval workflows, the implementation of new curriculum in the SIS, catalog updates, and systems access to curriculum related data. Ensures that all course information and curriculum changes approved by the Academic Senate, Colleges, Graduate Studies and Professional Schools are accurately maintained in the academic catalog and student information system.
Serves as knowledge expert regarding the curricular management system, providing support, reporting, documentation and training. Maintains knowledge of campus policies and procedures, as well as best practices, and works collaboratively across campus units. The Assistant Registrar is also responsible for coordinating the overall delivery of the publications services of the Office of the University Registrar, including the university catalog, faculty guide, OUR webpage, and Comm Tracker application.

Minimum Qualifications- For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; at least four years of experience in course development and/or curriculum management in a university or college environment.
- Experience in technical projects, project management and decision-making processes in higher education environments; experience with relational databases and with curriculum management and catalog publishing software.
- Knowledge of registrar related policies and implementation procedures; knowledge of educational policy and academic philosophies underlying departmental needs and curricula.
- Ability to work and communicate effectively across all levels within the higher education environment. Leadership, management and supervision skills, including skills to motivate, resolve conflicts and promote teamwork in a highly collaborative environment, and in an environment which is a large production oriented service unit.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and timelines and to adapt to constantly shifting priorities.
- Writing skills to prepare materials ranging from detailed analyses to concise summaries and talking points on complex issues for a variety of audiences; oral communication skills to articulate policy/procedures, ideas and issues to both internal and external audiences.
- Experience with Banner or other student information system.
- Prior experience in a university registrar's office.
- Experience working directly with campus leadership and members of faculty.
- Experience implementing new software and re-engineering business processes.
- Familiarity with Courseleaf catalog and curriculum management software.
- Fluency in SQL and HTML. Knowledge of the processes involved with curriculum development at a complex institution of higher education that includes undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs.
- Knowledge of federal, state laws including the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA) and applicable university policies.

- 20% - Process Improvement, Leadership, and Other Duties
Position provides critical project management and leadership for OUR. Lead responsibility for core curriculum systems and decisions that impact the delivery for the entire campus community.
POSITION INFORMATION- Salary or Pay Range: $79,400/annually - $144,400/annually
