Pay Range $1,666.67 per credit hour

Salary offers at Syracuse University will be based on education, experience, and relevant skills, as well as the academic or professional discipline of the position in the context of the home department, school, or college. Salary offers may also be influenced by prior relevant work or industry experience, where applicable. Faculty pay ranges are for 8.5 months’ salary unless otherwise specified.

The Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University seeks a part-time faculty to teach ECN
-101 Principles of Microeconomics to undergraduate economics student through SU Continuing Education. The course explores consumer demand, theory of production, markets and prices, social welfare, and related topics.

This position is anticipated to be filled on a fully remote basis. Not all geographical areas within the United States are eligible. Employment offers at Syracuse University are based on a combination of factors including, but not limited to, the job responsibilities; the candidate’s education, training, work experience and key competencies; the university’s strategic priorities; internal peer equity; applicable federal, state, local laws, grant funding and contractual requisites;

and external market analyses.

This position is part of a bargaining unit and is represented by the union SEIU , Local 200

United.

• Minimum of M.A. in Economics with excellent teaching experience of economics courses at the undergraduate level and strong class evaluations.

• Ordering the appropriate books and material in advance of the start of class date
• Maintaining regularly scheduled office hours
• Presenting instruction based on the competencies and performance levels of the course
• Meeting all designated class periods
• Submitting completed mid-semester progress reports and final grades according to the University’s regulations
• Grading student assignments and exams in a timely manner
