Pay Range:
Salary offers will be based on education, experience, and relevant skills, as well as the academic or professional discipline of the position. Faculty pay ranges are for 8.5 months’ salary unless otherwise specified.

Job Description:

The School of Architecture seeks part‑time instructors to teach architecture design studio during the Fall (6 credits) and/or Spring (6 credits) semester(s). Teaching is at the graduate level. The role requires the development and delivery of a rigorous design studio curriculum, management of course logistics, and assessment of student work.

Qualifications
  • Professional degree in Architecture is required.
  • Advanced degree in Architecture or a closely related design field.
Job Specific Qualifications
  • Teaching experience in an accredited professional architecture degree program.
  • Strong intellectual and creative direction; pursuit of innovative applications of emerging digital technology.
  • Professional design experience with a record of recognized creative work, including built/unbuilt work, installations, or publications.
  • Proficiency in advanced digital modeling, fabrication, and visualization.
  • Commitment to supporting students from diverse backgrounds.
Responsibilities
  • Developing and/or updating a class syllabus.
  • Ordering appropriate books and materials in advance of the class start date.
  • Preparing lectures, projects, or other student assignments.
  • Maintaining regularly scheduled office hours.
  • Presenting instruction based on the competencies and performance levels of the course.
  • Meeting all designated class periods.
  • Submitting completed mid‑semester progress reports and final grades according to University regulations.
  • Grading student assignments and exams in a timely manner.
  • Providing departmentally sanctioned forms for completed student evaluations.
