• Schedule – Class schedule works well even if you already have a daytime job.
• Work from Home (WFH) – Remote work must be performed while residing in California, New Mexico, Florida or Massachusetts.
• CIAT Location – San Diego, CA and Albuquerque, NM
• Reports to – Dean of Education (DOE)
• Status – Non-Exempt
• Employment Type – Variable-Hour (Part-Time)
• Position Type and Expected Hours of Work – Days and hours are usually Monday through Friday; weekend and evening hours may be required. Live classes are scheduled twice per week, on Monday and Tuesday from 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm (Pacific Time).
• Supervisory Responsibility – This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

• Teaching – Available to teach synchronous online courses via Microsoft Teams on Monday and Tuesday every week; plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning and engagement; modify instructional methods to meet diverse student needs; employ appropriate teaching strategies to communicate subject matter in a synchronous online format; maintain current certifications in subjects taught.
• Mastery of Subject Matter – Demonstrate thorough knowledge of the field; connect subject matter with related fields; stay current through professional development and involvement in professional organizations.
• Adhering to College Policies and Procedures – Maintain updated and accurate student attendance and grade records; ensure compliance with accreditation standards and CIAT policies; promote collaboration with staff and participate in new projects; adhere to CIAT attire policy (business casual, neat and clean).

• Information Technology Instructors must provide official transcripts of bachelor’s degree or higher (from an accredited institution) and certification in the subject taught.
• Certifications we are looking for:
  Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, Azure Cloud Administration and Azure Cloud Security.
• At least three years’ experience in the field OR two years of teaching experience.
• Synchronous online teaching experience preferred.
• Advanced subject matter expertise with commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Effective presentation, communication and technology skills; strong working knowledge of MS Office applications and learning technologies (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Canvas).
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to multitask; strong problem-solving abilities; collaborative mindset to support student success and institutional goals.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment and to professional ethics and integrity.
• Knowledge of current trends and best practices in higher education and ability to deliver engaging lesson plans.

• Remote/home-based work environment; reasonable accommodations may be provided.
