Training Developer/ Instructional Designer
The Instructional Designer II plays a pivotal role in creating and maintaining training content for both instructor-led and eLearning environments. This position involves collaborating with a team to ensure high-quality training materials are designed and developed in alignment with organizational objectives.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with Learning & Development consultants, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to identify training needs and define objectives.
- Participate in meetings to gather content and incorporate stakeholder feedback throughout the development lifecycle.
- Design and develop comprehensive training curricula and instructional materials such as presentations, guides, job aids, and assessments.
- Convert source materials into polished training deliverables using approved templates and formats.
- Apply instructional design principles to create engaging and learner-centered content.
- Ensure all materials adhere to organizational branding and document governance standards.
- Support ongoing content updates, revisions, and maintenance, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Provide multimedia support including recording and editing voice-over narration.
- Conduct quality assurance testing and utilize the Learning Management System (LMS) for eLearning course functionality testing.
- Communicate project progress, risks, and updates to leadership and stakeholders.
- Upload and maintain training content within the content management library, ensuring accuracy and version control.
- 5+ years of experience in instructional design and/or curriculum development.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including advanced PowerPoint and Word.
- Experience with voice-over narration, Adobe Pro, and Microsoft SharePoint.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to adapt training methods to various learning styles.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Efficient time management and multitasking abilities.
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in deliverables.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in education, instructional design, human resources, or related field preferred.
- Experience with authoring tools such as Articulate 360 and Articulate Storyline.
- Interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with peers and stakeholders.
- Understanding of learning management systems (LMS) and eLearning content development.
This full-time hybrid position is located in Birmingham, AL or Atlanta, GA and surrounding areas. Candidates should be within commuting distance of the office and available for in-person meetings and collaboration sessions as needed. The role allows for remote work but requires in-office attendance based on business and customer needs. Flexibility in work arrangements is permitted, contingent upon maintaining performance and responsiveness during normal work hours.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $44.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
