Stellar Virtual seeks a passionate and certified Elementary Teacher to join our team. This remote position will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective instruction to students in grades K-5 through our virtual learning platform. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of elementary education best practices, excellent communication and technology skills, and a passion for creating a positive and interactive online learning environment.
Responsibilities include curriculum implementation, assessment, individualized support, and collaboration to ensure student success.
- Deliver engaging and interactive live virtual lessons aligned with the Texas Academic Standards for Elementary Education (K-5)
- Utilize a variety of online teaching methodologies, assistive technologies, and accommodations to support student learning and engagement.
- Collaborate with general education teachers to provide effective co-teaching strategies and ensure accessibility of the general education curriculum.
- Implement the Stellar Virtual elementary curriculum effectively and adapt instruction to meet individual student needs.
- Develop and administer age-appropriate formative and summative assessments to monitor student learning and inform instruction.
- Analyze student data to identify learning strengths and areas for growth, and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with curriculum specialists and other teachers to enhance the elementary curriculum and resources.
- Support on-site testing events periodically throughout the year (required).
- Participate in virtual professional development and collaborate with colleagues on online teaching best practices.
- Work collaboratively with student support services (e.g., counselors, special education) to address student needs.
- Attend virtual staff meetings and contribute to the overall success of Stellar Virtual.
- You will play a key role in our collective success by proactively pivoting to support emerging business needs and strategic priorities directed by your manager.
- Minimum of two (2) years of successful teaching experience at the elementary level.
- Demonstrated experience in utilizing online learning platforms and elementary educational technology tools.
- Passion for working with young learners and fostering their academic and social-emotional development.
- Proven experience working independently with minimal supervision, including the ability to manage a digital task list and maintain a stable remote (home-office) infrastructure.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience using the Google Workspace suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive) in a professional or academic setting.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex ideas via written channels (Email, Google Chat, and Document Comments) with high clarity and low ambiguity.
- Access to a private, secure, high-speed internet connection with a minimum of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speeds.
- Residency in the state of Texas is required.
- A bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field.
- A valid Texas teaching license with an endorsement in Elementary Education (K-5) or equivalent.
