The College of Indigenous Studies is looking for adjunct faculty/part-time instructors. This position is unique as multiple campuses (Bristol Bay Campus, Chukchi Campus, Kuskokwim Campus, and Northwest Campus) within the College of Indigenous Studies may be hiring from this pool of applicants.
Duties include:
instructing and advising students in the related area, developing a course outline, syllabus, teaching materials, and exams as needed. The subject areas include, but are not limited to:

Classes can meet during the daytime, evening, and/or weekends, flexible schedules are available.
To excel in this role strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with colleagues and students. Attention to detail is critical for maintaining accuracy in tasks like course preparation and grading. A proactive problem-solving approach, coupled with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic academic environment, is crucial for meeting deadlines and achieving educational objectives. Adaptability and a willingness to learn are also important attributes, ensuring high standards of teaching quality and student engagement.
Candidates will be evaluated on the suitability of their academic preparation, past teaching experience, and potential for providing high-quality instruction to undergraduate students.
Minimum Qualifications:Masters in subject area preferred, but at minimum, demonstrated experience and expertise in the identified subject areas required.
Position Details:This is a part-time, adjunct-represented temporary position. New hires will be placed on the adjunct salary schedule as outlined in the UNAD CBA, based on education and experience.
This is a pooled position, which means that the position remains open over the entire academic year and applications will be reviewed on an as-needed basis.
