Teacher, Migrant Education (PACE)
The position of Teacher, Migrant Education (PACE) is responsible for providing supplemental academic services in alignment with the California Migrant Education State Service Delivery Plan in Reading, Writing and Math. The goal is to improve the academic success of migrant students, K-12 by implementing an after school mentoring/tutorial program for primary and secondary migrant students. Interested applicants should have experience and knowledge working with English Language Learners.
The position may supervise instructional assistants and other related support staff under the general direction of the Program Coordinator. Services may be site or home-based.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College/University is required. Master's Degree desirable.
CERTIFICATES/CREDENTIALS/LICENSES:
- Possession of a valid Single Subject or Multiple Subjects California Teaching Credential
- Applicants who have not utilized their credentials within the last 39 months of employment in a school district must show verification of passage of the Basic Skills Requirement
- CTEL Certification or EL equivalent such as CLAD, BCLAD, or SDAIE
- Valid California Driver's License
