The Pennsylvania Key is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Workforce Credentials Supervisor to join our team. This individual will play a critical role in supporting and enhancing our organization’s mission by providing strategic leadership to advance a comprehensive early childhood workforce development system in alignment with the Pennsylvania Key (the PA Key) and the Office of Child Development and Early Learning (OCDEL).
This position serves as the primary contact for programs offering Early Childhood Education (ECE) and School-Age credentials and certifications. The role advances the work of the PA Key and OCDEL by developing, implementing, and maintaining systems that support credentialing and certification across the Commonwealth. Central to this position is ensuring that the ECE workforce has consistent and accessible opportunities for professional growth through credential attainment, certification, and advancement along the Pennsylvania Early Childhood Education Career Pathway.

Workforce Credentials Supervisor - The Pennsylvania Key
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A. Master's degree in early childhood education (ECE) or related field preferred, with five (5) years of experience in developing and implementing ECE professional learning;
Bachelor's degree considered with at least ten (10) years of experience in early childhood education or higher education as it relates to professional growth and development. - B. Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in a supervisor role, to include conducting performance evaluations, staff development, and a reflective leadership practice.
- C. Skilled in project planning and implementation.
- D. Ability to work collaboratively with partners both externally and internally.
- E. Experience in communicating in formal professional settings.
- F. Ability to conduct professional development in the early childhood sector.
- G. Experience with systems of higher education, workforce credentialing, learning management systems, and workforce databases.
- H. Possesses qualities that reflect strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple projects, and effectively prioritize competing tasks.
- I. Demonstrated excellent communication skills. Bilingualism preferred.
- J. Ability to work independently and achieve expressed outcomes with minimal support.
- K. Experienced in coordinating, collecting, and managing data in order to make data-driven decisions.
- L. Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service.
- M. Ability to work in home office with travel to Harrisburg and across the state, as needed.
- N. The holder of this position could be required as part of his or her duties to engage in activities that can be charged to a Medical Assistance (MA) or other state or federal healthcare program. Clearance as a provider by both the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the federal government is therefore an essential qualification for this position.
Assistant Director of Workforce Initiatives POSITION GOAL:
Serve as the direct contact for programs that offer ECE and School-Age focused credentials and certifications; execute the work of the Pennsylvania Key and the Office of Child Development and Early Learning (OCDEL) with a focus on developing, implementing, and maintaining systems that support credentialing and certification in ECE across the Commonwealth. This role is crucial in ensuring that the workforce is provided consistent and accessible opportunities to pursue professional growth as it relates to credentialing, certification, and progressive movement along the PA ECE Career Pathway.
