Adjunct Instructor – Sciences (Animal Sciences) Job Description

This is a remote position.

Maumee, OH | Part-Time | On-Campus

Sole Hire, LLC has been retained to recruit on behalf of its client, a postsecondary institution in the higher education sector, for a part-time Adjunct Instructor to teach Animal Sciences coursework.

This is an on-campus, part-time teaching position responsible for lecture, laboratory, and clinical instruction across assigned programs. The Adjunct Instructor reports to a Program Chair, Academic Dean, Director of Academic Operations, or Campus President, depending on the program.

• Prepare and deliver lecture, laboratory, and clinical instruction according to established curriculum
• Maintain daily lesson plans and monitor student attendance and retention
• Grade and return assignments within 48 hours of the due date
• Provide student support during office hours or by appointment
• Participate in student retention efforts, including identifying and referring at-risk students
• Advise students on academic policies and performance, in coordination with program leadership
• Maintain professional development to meet accreditation standards
• Attend mandatory department and campus meetings

• Master's Degree required
• 18 credits in Physics
• 18 credits in Life Sciences
• Additional qualifications may apply depending on program and class level

• Paid by course and/or credit hour
• Compensation based on experience, knowledge, and education level
• Local candidates only; this is not a remote/online position
• Class assignments are offered per teaching module, with confirmation required prior to the start of each term
• Position does not guarantee a fixed number of teaching assignments
