The Coordinator II/Instructor will be responsible for the classroom, lab, and clinical groups/hours identified by the lead program coordinator/instructor. The program coordinator II/instructor is responsible for day-to-day operations, instruction, and the clinical experience for the assigned time/class.
* This is a temporary position that may be renewed annually contingent upon availability of college budget and performance reviews. This position is eligible for paid time off and benefits.
Examples ofDuties & Responsibilities
- Demonstrates appropriate knowledge of subject.
- Teaches courses and evaluates student performance per guidelines set by the department, MCC, and NYS; ensures compliance with all reporting and data tracking requirements.
- Facilitates all day-to-day operations of practical nurse classroom, lab, or clinical to include instruction, assessments, and tracking attendance.
- Evaluates student performance and provides feedback to enhance student learning and skills development.
- Maintains accurate records and documentation, ensuring compliance with all reporting and data tracking requirements.
- Maintains collegial relationships with clinical faculty and meets all requirements of clinical facilities.
- Assists in the development of classroom and clinical policies and procedures.
- Stays current in nursing and actively participates in professional development.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Program Coordinator I/Instructor, LPN.
- Adheres to the College Code of Conduct.
- Contributes to, supports, and maintains an equitable, inclusive, and collaborative College environment.
- Maintains technological competencies utilized by the College.
- Commits to the philosophy of a comprehensive community college.

Required Qualifications
- Valid NYS RN License.
- Earned master's degree from a regionally-accredited higher education institution or holds a bachelor's degree in nursing and is enrolled in and actively pursuing a master's degree or higher in nursing.
- A minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience.
- Demonstrates appropriate knowledge of the subject.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of students, faculty, and healthcare professionals.
- An understanding of and commitment to the mission and philosophy of the community college and Economic Development and Innovative Workforce Services (EDIWS).
- A commitment to lifelong learning and professional development.
- Knowledge of NYS Professional Certification process, INB Banner System, and Self-Service Banner.
- Experience in and understanding of non-traditional pathways and serving diverse populations of students.
- Teaching experience is preferred.
- Bilingual and able to read, write, and speak Spanish, or other languages, proficiently.
Salary:
Salary is determined based on experience, internal equity, and college budget. This position has a range of $75,000 to $80,00 and is based on these mentioned factors.
