Our Developmental Therapists provide in-home services for children between the ages of birth to three. At the outset, they assist in evaluating a child's skills across a variety of developmental domains and then use this information to develop and implement interventions. Developmental Therapists work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support families and children as they learn and grow.
Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree required
- Current CT teaching certification in Early Childhood Special Education required (#112, #113, #065, #165, #265, #055, #059, #057)
- Candidates with an Infant, Toddler, Family Specialist Credential from the Connecticut Birth to Three System with endorsement #123 can be considered for a Developmental Therapy Specialist (DSP)
- Strong communication skills to confidently explain information and converse with families
- Strong organizational skills
- A team work mindset to effectively collaborate with a team of peers
- The ability to work with families to set and achieve realistic goals
- Strong focus on professional development and training
- Delivering in home supports within a designated region-some travel required
