The O'Malley School of Business invites applications for the position of Program Coordinator, Student Success & Engagement. This role supports and helps execute OMSB's student success strategy, including student engagement, academic progression, career readiness, and post-graduate outcomes. The Coordinator helps implement and maintain programs that connect students to experiential learning, internships, employer networks, and alumni. Working collaboratively across academic and administrative units, this role helps ensure OMSB students are engaged, supported, and prepared to achieve strong career outcomes.
This position reports to the Dean of the O'Malley School of Business.
This is an in-person, on-campus, non-remote position.
Job Responsibilities2. Center for Career Development (CCD) Liaison
- Student Engagement & Program Support The Coordinator supports the day-to-day operations of student engagement initiatives that enhance retention, belonging, and professional development.
- Coordinate the OMSB Passport Program in alignment with student development outcomes.
- Coordinate and provide support to student clubs and honor societies, including faculty and alumni engagement.
- Assist with programming for early-year students to support retention.
- Help manage internship programs, ensuring academic rigor and employer partnerships.
- Provide internship advising to students, including guidance on identifying, applying for and securing internship opportunities.
- Advise students on co-curricular involvement and opportunities that support their academic and professional development.
- Provide general advising and career coaching support.
- Assist with oversight of the student-run Fair Trade business as an experiential platform.
- Assist faculty with experiential learning initiatives, including course-based projects, employer partnerships, and other applied learning opportunities.
- Support student participation in business competitions (e.g., the Business Analytics Competition, Federal Reserve Challenge, CFA Institute Research Challenge, Innovation Challenge, and Battle of the Bronx), including team coordination, faculty advisor connections, and logistical support.
- Coordinate with other colleges, schools, and external partners on joint programs, competitions, and cross-institutional initiatives.
- Support students in developing public speaking and presentation skills for competitions, pitches, interviews, and other professional settings.
Serve as a liaison between OMSB and the Center for Career Development.
- Promote career services and recruiting opportunities.
- Share internship and job opportunities with students.
- Support employer and alumni pipeline development.
- Assist with career outcomes tracking.
- Support alumni engagement efforts.
- Assist with recruitment and orientation activities.
- Support the Dean's office on assigned initiatives.
- Assist social media coordinator for OMSB.
- Bachelor's degree required;
Master's degree a plus.
- 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience with or strong interest in student engagement, internships, and career readiness programming.
- Strong communication (oral and written) and public speaking skills.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate across faculty, staff, colleges, and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with using data to assess and support student outcomes.
- Familiarity with career platforms (e.g., Handshake) a plus.
