Join our CCR&R team and help strengthen child care programs through leadership, coaching, and community collaboration.

Shelby Assistant Coordinator supports the Shelby Site Coordinator in overseeing daily operations, supervising staff, and ensuring high-quality CCR&R services. This role provides coaching and technical assistance to child care providers, supports staff development and program initiatives, builds community partnerships, and helps achieve performance goals that improve outcomes for children, families, and early childhood professionals.

• Works with Coordinator to meet goals related to performance-based outcome standards for local CCR&R.
• Monitor staff productivity and data completion.
• Assist coaches in staffing and teaming referrals and agency requests.
• Provide direct mentoring and coaching to staff.
• Maintain a caseload of DHS licensed agencies.
• Assist staff with analyzing and resolving issues with programs in their caseload .
• Establish relationships with CCR&R partners.
• Participate in community collaborative efforts, coalitions, and other relevant meetings as directed by Coordinator.
• Initiate and cultivate an inclusive work environment.
• Support and invite creative ideas and initiatives from all team members.
• Consistently upholding CCR&R Network expectations.
• Demonstrate support of direct supervisor and network management to model integrity and professionalism.
• Positively market the CCR&R Network to the community
• Assist with the management and supervision of ECQCs and Administrative Staff.
• Assist with interviewing, hiring, and training employees.
• Assist with onboarding new ECQCs and regional coaches.
• Monitor and verify work prepared by staff for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
• Assist with planning and directing work assignments, evaluating performance, addressing, and resolving concerns.
• Analyzing team data to assist with identifying areas of strength and areas that need improvement.
• Assist with regional meetings, trainings and special events.
• Assist with planning, marketing, and execution of Preschool Specialization Initiatives
• PSS Coaching/Training
• LENA (HUB, Inventory)
• DECA
• Demonstration Sites
• Regional PSS Celebration
• Provide in-person training and technical assistance to adult learners in both large group, small group, and individual settings
• Participate in CCR&R Network Management meetings, local staff and partner meeting sand other meetings called by DHS or partners.
• Serve as facilitator for Train-the-Trainer Institutes and Supplemental Trainings as requested.
• Author content for CCR&R newsletter/social media/website as requested.
• Collaborate with applicable State agencies.
• Achieve and maintain First Aid/CPR instructor certification provided by CCR&R.
• Achieve and maintain AIMHi ™ Endorsement.
• Positively market the CCR&R Network to the community,
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

• Must have bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in education, Early Childhood Education, Family and Consumer Sciences or related field.
• Three to five years of management experience required.
• Five years of experience in this or related field required.
• Experience training and coaching adult learners.
• Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills.
• Physical examination and record of negative TB test results must be on file with Signal Centers.
• Dependable transportation, valid driver’s license and insurance required.
• Willingness to travel statewide, work some nights and weekends.
• Must be able to work from a remote home environment within the state of TN.
