INSTRUCTIONAL SYS SPECIALIST

DUTIES:

• Revise, develop, and evaluate non-technical course sections.
• Work with subject matter experts to revise and develop technical course sections.
• Analyze course requirements, learning objectives, and applicable educational methodologies.
• Provide instructional delivery of training courses.
• Support dissemination, retrieval, and removal of course material in electronic format on workstations, tablets, and mobile devices.
• Facilitate classroom activities such as setup, student orientation, roll call, notifications of changes, maintenance of class roster, submission of final grades, student forms, reports, and recommendations for improvement.
• Identify the need for additional classroom resources.
• Use course curriculum to help ensure operational objectives are achieved.
• Support remote-based or cloud-based software used for course material control with students and instructors.

SKILLS:

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in education or related field, or equivalent experience, to include 24 semester hours in at least four of the following five areas: (1) Learning theory, psychology of learning, educational psychology; (2) Instructional design practices; (3) Educational evaluation; (4) Instructional product development; or (5) Computers in education and training.
• A Master’s Degree with the appropriate major meets the basic education requirements.
• Must demonstrate good communication skills and the ability to work independently or under general direction.
• Specialized knowledge of FAA systems, equipment, procedures, and operations is highly desired.
• Must be able to obtain Public Trust Security clearance.
