What You Will Be Doing:

In this role, you will:

Coordinate fiscal and grants management activities supporting the Alaska Reads Act, Early Learning programs, and the Comprehensive Literacy State Development (CLSD) Grant.

Prepare budget materials, monitor expenditures and encumbrances, analyze fiscal trends, and compile financial and program reports.

Maintain accurate grant and fiscal records, process reimbursement documentation, and track reporting requirements, deliverables, and deadlines.

Use state accounting and grants management systems to reconcile information and help identify fiscal, documentation, or compliance concerns.

Work closely with program staff and administrative partners to coordinate established fiscal, procurement, grant, and reporting processes.

The Working Environment You Can Expect:

This position may be based in either the Juneau or Anchorage office and offers flexible work options, including in-office, hybrid, or remote work, depending on operational needs. The work is primarily office-based and involves regular collaboration with program staff, administrative support teams, and department partners supporting statewide literacy and early learning programs.

on:

Knowledge of the principles and practices of budget administration and analysis; including preparing, justifying, reporting on, and executing the budget; and the relationships among program, budget, accounting, and reporting systems. Technical Competence:

Uses knowledge that is acquired through formal training or extensive on-the-job experience to perform one's job; works with, understands, and evaluates technical information related to the job; advises others on technical issues.

Grants Management:

Knowledge of requirements, practices, and procedures for soliciting, receiving, reviewing, and processing proposals, and awarding and administering grants and agreements.

Note:

This position may require occasional travel within the state to support DEED sponsored events.
