We are looking for a motivated Account Executive to oversee the Waco, TX territory in this unique community-based opportunity. Starting salary is $75,000 per year with an earning potential of a six-figure income after 5 years of successful service as an Account Executive/University Development Counselor. Must live within 30 miles of Waco, TX. New hire training will be held in-person at our Phoenix, AZ campus.

- Strategy and execution: consistently identifying and implementing event/activity plans for your territory, building awareness of our online academic programs for education, healthcare and business and drive inquiry generation.
- Partner and influencer: through a variety of mediums, provide exceptional counseling to prospective students, their families and partners. Whether in-person, over the phone or via email, champion the GCE mission, promote Grand Canyon University student success and institutional growth.
- Heart and Hustle: support prospective Grand Canyon University students through the admissions process, guiding them on the right path towards a successful online learning experience.
- A Bachelor’s degree required.
- No delinquent or in default on a federal student loan as verified in your credit report. If in a rehabilitation program, your credit report must reflect that you are current, not delinquent, on your payments.
- Outstanding time management skills and ability to prioritize competing priorities even while travelling.
- Clear communication skills. Comfortable communicating in person, in writing and on the phone. Well developed listening skills.
- Self-motivation and drive to succeed. Volunteer for new challenges without waiting to be asked. Take ownership of the time you spend with Grand Canyon University students and truly make a difference.
- High emotional intelligence and empathy to coach a diverse range of grand canyon university students.
- A valid driver's license, reliable transportation and a flexible schedule. Since this role requires extensive travel in your territory, you’ll need a clean driving record and ability to use your personal vehicle. Some events might require evening and/or weekend availability.
- Computer literacy. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required. Bonus points if you have relevant industry related professional experience and experience working with CRM tools.
- In collaboration with other University colleagues or management, develop marketing plans to promote the Colleges’ programs to constituents.
- Facilitate the distribution of informational materials through all appropriate channels within a territory.
- Work with GCU’s enrollment team to enable seamless enrollment process for business leaders and staff.
- Contribute to enrollee(s)’ experience and positively impact retention by acting as an advocate for GCU.
- Remain current with GCU’s programs, new industry-wide trends and developments.
- May provide mentoring to less-experienced employees.
- Ability to travel in territory as required. May involve 80% travel requiring some overnights and on weekends.
- Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
