The full-time Ael Instructor supports adults in earning their High School Equivalency and building foundational academic skills through distance and virtual education. This position requires a work from home office with reliable high-speed internet service. The teacher will be provided with a laptop computer. Office furniture and internet service are not provided.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Create an engaging, supportive rapport with students through email, phone, video conference, and distance learning platforms.
• Develop individualized learning plans based on student assessments, goals, and progress to ensure each learner receives targeted support.
• Monitor, document, and evaluate student progress using required assessments and instructional tools, adjusting instruction as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and reports including attendance, student data, and instructional documentation as required by the program and the Missouri Department of Elementary & Secondary Education (DESE).
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by program leadership to support the mission and compliance of the Missouri Ael program.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• Ability to become certified by the State of Missouri to teach Adult Education & Literacy
• Proficient computer skills
• Teaching experience, preferably in adult education and/or distance learning

Terms of Employment:
Full-Time with benefits

Salary: $21.00 per hour
