Job Description

Objective grading for cross-listed courses ARI 410/510.

This position will not involve instruction, subjective grading, mentoring, or tutoring.

ARI 410 - Machine Learning

Study of machine learning, a subfield of artificial intelligence intersecting with statistics, cognitive science, information theory, optimization, and probability theory. Topics include but are not limited to linear discriminants, neural networks, decision trees, support vector machines, unsupervised learning, and reinforcement learning. With examples from real-world applications, students learn to build systems that learn and adapt from experience. Graded ABCDE

Responsibilities

Objective grading and the recording of student assessments as directed by the course instructor, following the instructor's prescribed methods and required response time.

Required Qualifications
  • Must be a current UM-Flint Undergraduate Student
  • Familiarity with Python
  • Experience training and evaluating machine learning models
  • Understanding of fundamental machine learning algorithms and best practices
Desired Qualifications
  • Ability to be responsive to the needs of the instructor in terms of reliability, communication, accuracy, and timeliness

Modes Of Work

Hybrid The work requirements allow both onsite and offsite work and an employee has an expected recurring onsite presence. On occasion, the employee may be required and must be available to work onsite more frequently if necessitated by unit leadership or their designee and/or the job requirements.
