Training Supervisor I
Anticipated Interview Dates:
We anticipate holding in-person interviews beginning September 21, 2026. Are you passionate about helping others learn and grow? California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS) is looking for a motivated Training Supervisor I to support a team of trainers in delivering engaging learning programs both in person and through virtual instructor-led training. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to continue delivering training yourself while also helping coordinate team efforts, support course updates, and contribute to larger learning projects.
You'll work with team members, leaders, and vendors to assess training needs, improve existing courses, and help develop new learning solutions that support organizational goals. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong facilitation and instructional design skills who is ready to grow into a leadership role. We're looking for an organized, collaborative, and eager learner with training experience and a passion for supporting others.

Telework Information:
This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, with up to two days of remote work and three days or more onsite, per week. Sponsorship:

CalPERS does not participate in E-Verify for employment authorization purposes. Effective July 1, 2025, The California Department of Human Resources (CalHR) implemented the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025). PLP 2025 directs that each employee shall receive a 3 percent reduction in pay in exchange for 5 hours PLP 2025 leave credits, monthly.
The salary range(s) included in the job advertisement do not reflect the 3 percent reduction in pay.
