Position Description

The student worker for ISA istasked tofacilitatea number of international studentevents and activities on campusfor the Fall and Spring semester.

Theyare expected to help organize, advertise, and lead campus-wide events, including, but not limited to, the Welcome Party, Thanksgiving Gathering, and Lunar New Year Celebration.

This position reports directly to theAVP of ISA andworks closely with theISACoordinator.

Duties and Responsibilities

The ISA Student Worker will have a variety of tasks and will be expected to work between5-10 hoursper week. They will be expected to:

  • Plan, organize, and facilitate student-focused events, including but not limited to the new student welcome party, Lunar New Year, Halloween/Thanksgiving gathering, and other events to promote international student connection and well-being.
  • Purchase and track materials for events.
  • Promote upcoming events and activities with flyers, Teams, email, Campus Groups, and tabling
  • Collaborate with the ISA staff, Faculty/Staff, and Student Clubs on events to support, assist and cross-advertise events and activities.
  • Be a community leader and a representative of the international student body while respecting and maintaining appropriate relationships with students.
  • Become familiar with and refer students to the appropriate support services as needed (Counseling,Housing, Student Affairs, etc.)

Qualifications / Competencies

Current students at the undergraduate and graduate level are eligible to apply for the Student Worker  order toapply, candidates should meet the following requirements:

  • Be a current undergraduate or graduate full-time student at Digi Pen Institute of Technology.
  • Demonstrate motivation and strong time-management skills.
  • Be able to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Be a team player and work well with fellow peers on a team.
  • Have great interpersonal and general communication skills.
  • Have interest or experience with diverse cultures and strong cross-cultural communication skills
  • Have strong leadership skills and an ability to work on projects independently.
  • Be interested in improving campus climate.
  • Be interested in campus-wide networking and creating connections among various communities on campus.
  • Be familiar with Photoshop, Publisher, or Canva and have good design skills.
  • Eligible for Federal Work Study, with an accepted FWS award

Students will be selected through review of their submissions and an interview process.

Expected dates of employment: September 1, 2026 – April 30, 2027

Expected number of hours per week: Up to 10

Wage Range:

Wages are based on Washington State’s minimum wage requirements.

$17.13 - 18.25 per hour , depending on number of terms worked at Digi Pen
