Typically 30–40 minutes per small-group lesson - Group size:
Up to four elementary students
- Deliver structured, engaging online reading instruction via Zoom using Air Reading’s provided curriculum.
- Follow step-by-step lesson plans while maintaining instructional fidelity to structured literacy and Science of Reading principles.
- Monitor and document student progress using established assessment and reporting tools.
- Provide timely, actionable feedback that supports student learning and growth.
- Create a positive, orderly virtual classroom environment that promotes student engagement and participation.
- Collaborate with Air Reading’s instructional team and school partners as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Proficiency with Zoom and common digital teaching tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build positive connections with elementary-aged students in an online learning environment.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
- Degree or coursework in education, literacy, English, or a related field.
- Experience teaching early reading, phonics, or K–3 students.
- Familiarity with structured literacy and Science of Reading approaches.
As an Air Reading teacher, you’ll help students build foundational reading skills through structured, evidence-based instruction. You’ll also gain experience with research-backed literacy practices and receive ongoing coaching and professional development to support your growth as an educator.
