In the U.S., nearly one in three children struggles with reading at grade level. Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging online reading lessons via Zoom to groups of up to 4 students in 30–40 minute sessions.
- Be available to teach during school-day and after-school windows (Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. PST).
- Teach with a fully prepared curriculum that includes step-by-step guidance.
- Share timely feedback on student progress.
- Foster a positive, encouraging classroom environment that supports both student success and teacher growth.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Proficiency with Zoom and other digital teaching platforms.
- U.S. work authorization.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to connect with young learners.
Preferred Qualifications
These are helpful but not mandatory — we welcome teachers who don’t meet every item:
- Bilingual (Spanish/English).
- Degree in education, English, literacy, or a related subject.
- Experience teaching phonics or early reading to K–3 students.
- Compensation:
Up to $24/hour - Job Type: Contract
- Location:
Remote within the United States, excluding California. - Flexible, Monday–Friday with teaching opportunities between 6 a.m.–5 p.m. PST
