Position Description: The Summer School Online Learning Proctor at KSS is a non-certificated, administrative support position dedicated to managing the technical and logistical operations of the Edgenuity online learning platform. This role ensures student access to digital coursework, monitors engagement data, and facilitates the smooth execution of the district's remote summer learning program. The Proctor focuses on the "knobs and dials" of the software and student data management.

Students will complete coursework independently through the automated platform from home. The Proctor is responsible for the technical, logistical, and compliance aspects of the digital learning environment, ensuring that the online program aligns with district administrative standards and technical requirements.

Essential Job Functions:

The Proctor will monitor the platform daily during the summer session to ensure system uptime and student progress tracking. They are expected to be available for technical troubleshooting and data reporting throughout the duration of the summer school calendar. Edgenuity Proctor will devote 15 hours per week to provide adequate student support in the Edgenuity platform. This allows time for checking student progress throughout the day, resetting items as necessary, unlocking items as students reach unit tests, and other related items as needed.

Weekly progress reports are sent to students, parents, and administration to aid students in accountability. Additional hours would be required if student load increased to over 12 students, or if there are more than 15 monitored classes.

Required Skills, Knowledge and or Abilities

  • Managing student enrollments, account provisioning, password resets, and hardware/software troubleshooting within the Edgenuity platform to ensure uninterrupted access for students and families.

  • Maintaining accurate records of any district-issued hardware or mobile hotspots provided to students for the summer session, ensuring equipment is returned in good condition.
