Tutor​/Academic Coach

Zsoldos Coaching is a boutique full-service academic coaching and tutoring company that takes a holistic approach to education, emphasizing "big picture" critical thinking skills in the context of achieving success on the immediate tasks, with a focus on NYC-specific testing and admissions, subject tutoring, and standardized tests. We are seeking tutors who would be able to commit to 10 students per week, with qualifications across all grade levels and subject area expertise.

We do not currently have opportunities for remote work: this is in-person tutoring and coaching required.

Our most immediate needs are as follows, but specialists and generalists across all subjects are welcome to apply:

• SAT
• ACT
• ISEE
• SHSAT
• STEM
• Executive Function support

• Educate students in a non-classroom, one-on-one setting, both virtually and in-person
• Establish academic goals and milestones with students
• Communicate progress reports to both parents and company
• Mentor, teach, have a blast, make a difference!

• Previous experience in teaching, tutoring, or other related fields preferred but not required
• Ability to build rapport with students and parents
• Sufficient knowledge of core educational subjects
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Part-time contractors will begin at $50/ hour with higher wages depending on education and experience, up to $125/ hour. We will consider candidates for salaried positions on a case-by-case basis. Lessons will be conducted in-person at the homes or schools of clients in Manhattan (typically below 96th street), and Manhattan-adjacent Brooklyn neighborhoods (Brooklyn Heights, Park Slope, etc.). Candidates available to start immediately are given priority.
