The Student Success Coordinator is a member of the Student Success & Strategic Initiatives team and will oversee College-wide academic intervention, provide academic advising and support for special populations, and assist with data analysis and strategic initiatives. This position reports to the Associate Vice President, Student Success & Strategic Initiatives (SSSI) and requires working occasional evenings and Saturdays.
Examples ofDuties & Responsibilities Academic Intervention
- Manage the College's early alert and caseload management tool.
- Maintain and enhance the college-wide early alert system workflows.
- Document administrative processes related to the early alert system to ensure business continuity.
- Provide training for faculty and staff.
- Collaborate with advising leadership on the advisor assignment process, advisement key process, and other Banner-related jobs.
- Advise and connect students to the appropriate resources and program support for special populations (e.g., Industry students).
- Coordinate college-wide satisfactory academic progress (SAP) processes, and respond to faculty, staff, and student questions related to SAP, as needed.
- Analyze data, develop reports and visualizations to support persistence and retention efforts.
- Leverage college systems to promote student communication, caseload management, advising interactions, academic interventions, student connections, and retention.
- Collaborate with AVPs, deans, faculty, and staff on persistence, retention, and completion efforts.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Attend meetings as required and represent the SSSI team.
- Serve on college-wide committees.
- Adheres to the College Code of Conduct.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Project management experience.
- Experience working with students in a higher education setting.
- Ability to work in a collaborative manner.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment.
- Ability to work independently.
- Master's degree in education, higher education, counseling, or related field.
- Community college advising experience and understanding of college student development.
- Proven experience working with culturally, economically, and academically diverse students.
- Knowledge of EAB products, Banner, and Degree Works.
- Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and training.
- Bilingual and able to read, write, and speak Spanish, or other languages, proficiently
Salary:
Salary is determined based on experience, internal equity, and college budget. This position has a range of $52,000 to $60,000 and is based on the factors mentioned factors.
